Haidilao Hot Pot in Century City brings an interactive, communal dining experience that feels well-suited for groups looking to linger over a meal and share a variety of flavors. This full-service hot pot restaurant specializes in Chinese-style shabu-shabu, where diners customize their broth and select fresh ingredients like kobe beef brisket, tofu skin, and mushrooms to cook right at their table.

The atmosphere leans toward lively and bustling, with attentive staff who go beyond typical service—offering small comforts like aprons, hair ties, and even occasional performances such as the signature "dancing noodles" presentation. It’s a spot where the experience around the table is just as important as the food, making it a popular choice for families and friends gathering for a slow-paced meal. While some diners appreciate the variety at the sauce bar and appetizer stations, others may find the focus on single-use utensils a bit at odds with local sustainability preferences.

Ordering here is ideal when you’re in the mood to sample a diverse range of tastes—from the rich soup bases to complementary small snacks and drinks like Blue Hawaiian cocktails or hot sake. The restaurant accommodates those who enjoy a hands-on meal and don’t mind sharing space in a place that feels more energetic than quiet. Given the communal nature and the thoughtfully prepared elements on the menu, it’s a go-to for those who want a blend of comfort, novelty, and social dining in the heart of Century City.

Best times to visit tend to be early evenings or weekend dinners when groups gather, though the lively pace can make it less suited for solo diners seeking quiet. Families with kids will appreciate the staff’s willingness to provide extras that make the hot pot experience more accessible. Overall, Haidilao stands out as a place where the food is just one part of a bigger social and sensory experience centered around hot pot culture.

I had an amazing experience at Haidilao! The service was truly outstanding from the moment we walked in. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcomed. The food quality was excellent — fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and plenty of options to choose from. I especially loved how thoughtful the small details were, from the sauces to the overall dining atmosphere. Everything was well organized and enjoyable. This was more than just a meal; it was a great dining experience. I will definitely come back and highly recommend Haidilao to anyone who loves hot pot!

Fun food experience. Tasty. I didn’t appreciate no silverware. I have a 3 year old that needs things cut into smaller pieces and they gave me a plastic fork and spoon. The amount of single use plastics is very concerning. Not very Cali.

Absolutely loved the soup base here — so flavorful and rich! The self-serve appetizer bar was also a great touch, and the snack station was super thoughtful. They even provided hair ties and aprons, which made the whole experience feel really well taken care of. The drinks were pretty good too. Overall, everything was fresh, and the dining experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!

My friend and I first tried Haidilao and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in LA. Their service is always amazing and food is incredible. I love how we get to customize our own topping and sauces at their bar and also try a bunch of little complimentary snacks including fruits. I’ve been coming to this location several times now and they never disappoint. I’m also in love with their bbq flavored chips!! :)

A true dining experience. If you’re lucky you’ll get to see the big panda! So cute. Service is unmatched with wipes, aprons and hair ties. Food is always good, and the sauce bar has so much variety that you’ll never run out!

I give it 4 stars because they charge soup which is around $32 for two kinds of soup base. You open a hotpot place and charge for the soup base, it doesn’t make sense to me. I have been to many hotpot places and most of them didn’t charge for soup. They also charge the dipping sauce. Anyway, other than that foods are a bit pricey but they are good quality, soup is tasty, service is great and environment is good. I went there on a Friday night and the wait was 1.5 hours.

Haidilao Culver City is hands-down one of the best hot pot experiences in LA! From the moment you walk in, the service is exceptional — warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. The staff makes you feel welcome and well taken care of throughout your entire meal. The food? Absolutely top-tier. Everything is fresh, high quality, and beautifully presented. The broth options are rich and flavorful (highly recommend the tomato and spicy duo!), and the dipping sauce bar is a dream for customizing to your taste. Meat, seafood, veggies, noodles — all perfect and replenished quickly if needed. The little touches make it extra special: complimentary snacks and drinks while you wait, fun robot servers, plastic covers for your phone, hair ties if you need them, and even a warm towel service. The attention to detail is next level. Perfect for group dinners, date nights, or just treating yourself to a cozy, interactive meal. Once you try Haidilao, you’ll understand the hype. This Culver City location is clean, stylish, and worth every penny.
